Dates & Cashew bars

If I could, I would eat these 25/8 – literally.  These bars are gorgeous and ridiculously easy to make.  Here you go!

  • 1 block of dates, chop them into 1 cm small blocks
  • ½ cup of nuts (cashews, almonds or walnuts). Crush with a mortar and pestle to desired size
  • 3 table spoons of cacao powder
  • 1 table spoon butter.

Heat pot and melt butter, add in dates and mix well.  Stir on continues basis till dates are hot and flexible.  Add in rest and stir.

Removed from heat and shape into desired form by rolling into 2 cm diameter balls or flatten on wax paper to about 5 mm thick.

Cool in fridge till cold (e.g. 30 min)

Eat!
